Transamerica Pyramid
Let me show you one of the most recognizable points of the San Francisco skyline. The Transamerica Pyramid is a skyscraper and office building designed by architect William Pereira. Its futurist architecture makes it stand out among the city's other structures. The building's inception was in 1969, and it remains a major landmark. More recently, the building was sold to NYC investor Michael Shvo in 2020, who hired Norman Foster to renovate the building and redesign the interiors in 2022. As of April 2026, the Transamerica Pyramid Center was acquired by Yoda PLC. It is a great spot to orient yourself in the city.
