The Witch House
You'll notice the steep roof and weathered wood of the Witch House first. This house is a National Register of Historic Places contributing property with direct ties to the Salem witch trials of 1692. It is also known as the Jonathan Corwin House, a historic house museum. Judge Jonathan Corwin lived here for more than 40 years. He bought the house in 1675, and the building itself was started that same year. I've noticed the crowds always linger here to imagine the judge's life in the late seventeenth century.
Peabody Essex Museum
Located in Salem, Massachusetts, the Peabody Essex Museum is a successor to the East India Marine Society, which was established in 1799. You can find a massive variety of works here, as the museum's total holdings include twenty-two historic buildings. It is well known for housing one of the major collections of Asian art in the United States. I've noticed the scale of the place is impressive, especially since it brings together the collections of the former Peabody Museum of Salem and the Essex Institute.

Let me show you the waterfront of Salem Harbor, where you will find the Salem Maritime National Historical Park. This site spans about 9 acres of land and contains 12 historic structures, including a replica tall-ship. It is a significant stop for any visitor because it was the first National Historic Site established in the United States. The National Park Service manages the park along with a Regional Visitor Center located in downtown Salem. I find the harbor breeze keeps the air fresh while you walk the grounds.
