Cocatedral de Sant Nicolau de Bari
The Cocatedral de Sant Nicolau de Bari in Alicante began in 1616. This Catholic parish church, monument, and co-cathedral was designed by architect Agustín Bernardino in the Renaissance architecture style. It is part of the Diocese of Orihuela-Alicante and is recognized as a bien de interés cultural. The status of the building changed on 9 March 1959, when Pope John XXIII elevated the church to the title of cathedral. You can see the influence of the Renaissance style in the structure of this historic site.
