Campbell House Museum

You can pick out the Federal architecture style immediately upon arriving at the Campbell House Museum. This house is a National Register of Historic Places listed place and was designated a City of St. Louis Landmark in 1946. Before it opened on February 6, 1943, the building was documented as part of the Historic American Buildings Survey between 1936 and 1941. In 2000, the museum became a National Trust for Historic Preservation Save America's Treasures project. I find the clean lines of the facade quite calming compared to the usual city bustle.

City Museum

Old Courthouse

This current structure replaced the old Busch Memorial Stadium to provide a new space for the city's baseball fans to gather and watch their team play.

Citygarden

Between Eighth, Tenth, Market, and Chestnut streets, you will find the art and greenery of Citygarden. This sculpture garden is located in the Gateway Mall area of St. Louis, Missouri. While the City of St. Louis owns the park, the Gateway Foundation handles the maintenance to keep the space tidy. It is a great spot to stretch your legs and look at some art while you are downtown. I've found that the open layout makes it easy to wander through without feeling trapped by the city traffic.
