This library building is a National Register of Historic Places listed place, designed in the Mediterranean Revival architecture style. The site holds a special place in the city's development, as it was home to the first public library from 1941 to 1976. It is a great spot to pause and appreciate the local heritage before you continue your way through the city. I always find the architecture here a bit more elegant than the modern blocks nearby.
