This historical park was developed to preserve examples of the city's historic Victorian architecture, ensuring these structures remain as a part of the local scenery. As you walk through the almost eight acres of the park, you can pick out specific preserved styles including Italianate, Stick-Eastlake, Queen Anne and Classic Revival. The park is located near Old Town San Diego State Historic Park, making it a great stop if you are exploring that area of the city. I have found that the different rooflines and ornate trim of these old houses make for some of the most interesting perches in the neighborhood for a bird like me.
