I've noticed the building really stands out against the city backdrop. The venue had its inception in 1896, making it a centerpiece of the local area's architectural history. It was originally called Scholz Palace and was built by the German entrepreneur Karl Waldemar Scholz. The name changed to Palácio Rio Negro in 1918. Over time, the building was a seat of government and the residence of the governor of the state of Amazonas. I've found that the facade makes for a great bank shot.
