Catedrala Mitropolitană Ortodoxă "Sfânta Treime"
Catedrala Mitropolitană Ortodoxă "Sfânta Treime" is an Eastern Orthodox cathedral located at 35 Mitropoliei Street, Sibiu, Romania. This site is a Historic Monument and is the seat of the Romanian Orthodox Archbishop of Sibiu and Metropolitan of Transylvania. The cathedral's inception was in 1902. The building is designed in the Byzantine Revival architecture style and was built as a Byzantine basilica inspired by Hagia Sophia. You can observe the scale of the cathedral, which reaches a height of 34.7 meters. It is a significant site for the region, combining its religious function as a metropolitan seat with a specific architectural heritage that draws from the traditions of the Byzantine basilica. The structure remains a prominent example of the Byzantine Revival style within the city of Sibiu.
