Edinburgh Castle
Malcolm III established a royal castle on this site in the 11th century. Today, Edinburgh Castle is a castle, museum, archaeological site, and building complex located in Edinburgh, Scotland. It stands on Castle Rock, a location that humans have occupied since at least the Iron Age. This scheduled monument served as a royal residence until 1633, though its residential role began to decline from the 15th century. By the 17th century, the site was principally used as a military garrison. I've always found the view from the rock to be the best spot in the city.
